I recently graduated from the University of Texas with my PhD. My field of study is Acoustics.
My goal is to work in industry utilizing acoustics to help change our world for the better. I am looking for a chance to work on challenging projects that require both creativity and knowledge. I value a well-rounded education and enjoy when material from one area of study is applied to another. I look forward to finding new approaches to problems and discovering novel solutions.
My primary interest outside of my field of study is renewable energy and recycling. I have a great interest in green technology and finding applications that make everyday processes more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Through Engineers Without Borders, I’ve been able to plan and implement a clean water solution for a small village in India. The project was started my freshman year of college and the planning and organization continued through the fall semester of my senior year when we started the implementation of the project. I was able to travel with a team of two technical mentors and four other students to India where we supervised the installation of a well with a solar powered pump and connected this system to a sealed water tank.
